Giggabox supporting COP for a third consecutive year
Giggabox is extremely proud to be partnering with the Global Resilience Partnership for COP28‘s Resilience Hub this year.
We are proud to announce our collaboration with the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) to provide an unrivalled event AV production experience in November and December in Dubai. Leveraging cutting-edge technology and unparalleled expertise, this project aims to seamlessly integrate in-person and virtual elements, ensuring a truly immersive and inclusive environment for all attendees.
As an established leader in the global events industry, Giggabox is entrusted with replicating the success of COP26 and COP27. With COP28, our mission is to go above and beyond, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in event production.
As with the previous years, the heart of this project lies in the fusion of in-person and virtual participation. To achieve this, Giggabox will provide an extensive range of services tailored specifically for COP28. Furnishing the Global Resilience Partnership’s Resilience Hub with state-of-the-art equipment at the COP28 venue in Expo City, Dubai, our experienced production team will be on-site, overseeing all aspects of the AV production, ensuring a flawless and captivating event for all delegates.
Working hand in hand with UNFCCC, our seasoned events team will provide expert consultation & AV services throughout the entire project, including Live Streaming, Live Event Audio Visual and Virtual Platform creation and management.
Main Objectives of The Resilience Hub at COP28:
- Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration: The Resilience Hub serves as a platform for a global community with diverse perspectives and experiences to come together. Its primary objective is to facilitate the sharing of knowledge, fostering collaboration among stakeholders from various sectors and regions.
- Co-Creation of Solutions: Recognising the urgent need for action, The Resilience Hub aims to go beyond discussions and inspire tangible outcomes. It strives to facilitate the co-creation of innovative solutions that address climate resilience and adaptation challenges.
- Driving the Resilience Agenda: As the main pavilion for climate resilience and adaptation at COP28, The Resilience Hub takes a leadership role in driving the conversation and agenda around resilience. It aims to ensure that resilience remains a prominent and prioritised topic throughout the COP process.
- Local and Equitable Resilience Solutions: The Resilience Hub places locally-informed, equitable resilience solutions for both people and nature at the heart of its mission. It seeks to highlight and promote approaches that empower vulnerable communities, address social and environmental justice, and promote sustainable development.
- Amplifying Local Voices: Recognising the disproportionate impact of climate change on vulnerable populations, The Resilience Hub incorporates Regional Hubs as an integral part of its programming and delivery. This approach aims to amplify the voices of those most affected by climate change, ensuring their perspectives and experiences are central to resilience discussions and decision-making processes.
Expo City Dubai is a state-of-the-art destination built to promote sustainability and circularity principles.
The venue will provide a ’hub‘ for climate action throughout the conference events, with an observer delegates site (Blue Zone) and a civil society site (Green Zone).
