Giggabox joins Legends Cars Championship for the 2023 season

Giggabox is set to make its mark on the Legends Cars racing scene during the eagerly awaited 2023 campaign. Giggabox joins the Legends Cars Championship 2023 season, with MRF Tyres, will feature three rounds of the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), making it the event of the year – an unmissable fun day out for the entire family.
Legends Cars are 5/8ths scale replicas of 1930s coupes and sedans, renowned for their 3 and 4 wide racing. With grid positions drawn from a hat, rather than qualifying, there is always a thrilling amount of overtaking, with often the fastest drivers starting from the back of the packed 24-plus car grids.
This season, the series kicks off in mid-April at the iconic Cadwell Park track in Lincolnshire, before moving on to other major UK circuits, including Brands Hatch in Kent, Croft in North Yorkshire, Knockhill in Scotland, and Snetterton in Norfolk.
The Giggabox car, emblazoned with Giggabox’s branding, will be driven by returning Legends race car driver and previous race winner, Paul Musselle, for the first five rounds of the season. After that, Paul’s son Harri will take over driving duties for the final two events at Snetterton and Brands.

The Giggabox car will be prepared and overseen by four-time National and two-time World Legends Champion John Mickel and his Mickel Motorsport operations.
Legends Cars racing is widely regarded as the most entertaining form of motorsport in the UK, with three races each day making up one round of the championship. It’s a must-see event for race fans and TV viewers alike.

There is sure to be plenty of excitement, as Giggabox, for the first time, joins the Legends Cars Championship with MRF Tyres for the 2023 season. With thrilling racing, packed grids, and a fun atmosphere for all – it looks to offer lots of ‘seat of the pants’ competitive racing.
The first heat
The smell of burning rubber filled the air as we revved up our engines for our first weekend of racing. Our adrenaline was pumping as we prepared to face top competition on the track.
Friday was test day, and although we encountered a slight hiccup with a spin, we were able to recover quickly. Our main focus was on Paul relearning the track and getting comfortable in the car again.
As luck would have it, Paul drew Pole position on Saturday’s ball draw – a huge feat for a first meet! Despite the pressure, he managed to hold his own for all three rounds. However, disaster struck during Round 2 as he hit a patch of oil and spun, colliding with another car that spun out after him.
Sunday morning brought new hope as Paul ran his fastest lap. The second round was interrupted but the last round proved to be just as thrilling.
