COP26 Climate Change Conference – Global Resilience Partnership
We created a hybrid event at COP26. The event was produced at the COP26 climate change conference in Glasgow. It included both live speakers and remote speakers. While being watched by a live audience and streamed to a remote audience.

What Was Global Resilience Partnership Looking For?
Our client: Global Resilience Partnership were looking for an experienced event management company to produce and deliver their climate change event.
Global Resilience wanted to maximise their audience reach and include as many speakers as possible. Some of their speakers couldn’t attend the event in person and the bulk of their audience was remote. A hybrid event was the obvious solution!
Global Resilience Partnership Hybrid Event Requirements:
- A live studio to produce the event and feature a live audience, while streaming to a remote audience
- A studio to incorporate COP26 branding and a colour scheme representing Global Resilience Partnership
- A bespoke virtual event platform for virtual attendees and speakers
- Creation of a website page to display video recording of the event once finished
- A team of sound technicians controlling and monitoring the event audio
What Did It Look Like?
Anastasia Brainich – Head of policy – Global ResilienceThe Giggabox team was a very cohesive unit, making sure all different parts of the project came together as one. I really enjoyed working with the Giggabox team because of their positive can-do attitude.
Live Studio Creation
Global Resilience were looking for a live studio that was both visually appealing and professional.
Our design team designed a set which incorporated these aspects in the best way possible. Our production team actioned the design. While also channelling the tone of the COP26 Climate Change Conference. The production studio also needed to represent the colours of the Global Resilience branding/logo.
Therefore, a blue and green blend was featured around the studio. The live studio provided the ability to display suitable branding for COP26 and Global Resilience.
Virtual Platform Creation
Global Resilience wanted the remote viewers to have the best viewing experience possible. We used a platform called events air. Click here to find out more about eventsair. The platform allowed attendees to move their way through the event in the same way they would for a live event.
The virtual event platform featured a lobby for attendees to navigate their way between the event segments. For each event segment, a bespoke virtual environment was created. We controlled and monitored the environment, ensuring it ran smoothly. The virtual platform also provided the ability to display COP26 graphics.
